William D. Hunt
Hunt, William D.-At Bancroft, Iowa. Wm. Hunt is confined to his bed and those who have seen him say that he cannot survive long. He has consumption and has been fast wasting away for over a year.

Wm. D. Hunt, one of the pioneer settlers of Northern Kossuth, died at his home in northwest part of Bancroft on Tuesday morning of consumption. He had been ailing for several years, but during last summer and winter he has been very low. The funeral will be held at the M.E. Church this afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Mary A Hunt
Hunt, Mrs. Mary-At Bancroft, Iowa. Death of Mrs. Mary Hunt. Mary Wilson was born in New York in 1834 where she was brought up and at the age of 11 she came with her parents to De Kalb County, Illinois, where she lived until 1872 when she came to Kossuth County and settled in the old Greenwood Center settlement west of town. The family have lived here continuously ever since. She was married to William D. Hunt in 1885 at Somonauk, Illinois and seven children were born to this union as follows: Roswell H. of Bancroft, Myron W. of Glenburn, North Dakota, Alva L. and Mrs. Ida Castleman of Bancroft, and Edward H. of Winnebago, Minnesota, all of whom were present at her funeral. Byron, a twin brother of Myron W. and Lillie both died in their infancy. The husband and father died at Bancroft in 1890. Mrs. Hunt was a woman of unusual strength of character and passed through all the trials and hardships of the early settler in this country and was ever a true and faithful helpmeet to her husband and mother to her children. She had the true neighborly spirit and no kind deed to a friend or neighbor was too hard for her to perform willingly. She was the victim of an accident in which she broke a limb some weeks ago and about a week ago complications set in which caused her death. She died at the home of her son, Roswell H. Hunt, last Wednesday evening, October 2, 1912 at 10 o’clock, in perfect peace with herself and all the world. The funeral was from the Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the services being in charge of the pastor, Rev. W.W. Tyrrell. May her rest be peaceful and may the sorrowing relatives be comforted by the Great Comforter.

Jessie Hunt
Jessie Hunt, 93, died of infirmatives of advanced age Sunday night Feb 12, at Western Home in Cedar Falls. Funeral service for her was at 6:30 Wednesday in the Chapel at Western Home and at 11am Thursday, Feb 16, in the United Methodist Church at Swea City. Burial was in Harrison Township Cemetery at Swea City.
Jessie was born July 29,1890 at Seneca, a daughter of Baynard Taylor and Alice A. Moore Clark. She married Elbert Hunt Nov. 9, 1909 and they farmed in Grant Township north of Swea City.
Elbert Hunt died in January of 1923 and she married Delbert Hunt Mar. 24,1925. They also farmed in Grant Township before moving to Cedar Falls in 1944. Her husband Delbert, died in July of 1978.
Jessie Hunt is survived by a son, Clarence F. Hunt of Algona and a daughter, Hazel Layton, Cedar Falls. There are 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
One sister, Nora Boyce of Baton Rouge, LA., also survives.

Cora B Hunt
Services for Mrs. Cora B. Hunt,86, a pioneer resident of Bancroft for 65 years were held
Monday afternoon in the First Baptist Church at Bancroft. The Rev. August Post officiated
with burial in the Greenwood cemetery. Mrs. Hunt died Friday morning at St. Ann Hospital.
Her husband, Alva Hunt, preceeded her in death in 1924. Surviving are a son, Harold, of
Denison: a daughter, Mrs. Dan McGee (Doris), Bancroft, A son, Florin, preceeded her in
death in 1951. The Garry Funeral Home in Bancroft had charge of arrangements.

Funeral Service Here Today for Mrs. Ed H. Hunt
Funeral services for Mrs. Ed H. (Hattie) Hunt are being held this (Wednesday) afternoon from the Bancroft
Baptist church and burial will be made in Greenwood Township Cemetery. The Rev. L. L. Robinson, Pastor,
is in charge.
Pallbearers at the services are: E.J. Seeney, A.H. Deitering, Melvin Gangestad, George Wohnke, C.J. Stauder
and Glenn Cowin. The Garry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hunt, who was an aunt of Mrs. Dan McGee of Bancroft and Harold Hunt of Dennison, died Sunday at
Kirksville, MO. She was the daugher of Orson and Laura Cornwell Searle and was born at Bancroft July 26,
1879.
She was united in marriage to Ed H. Hunt in 1896? at Bancroft. Three children were born to this union. They
are: Mrs. Hubert (Altha) Mosley of Kirksville, MO., and Dr. Marion R. Hunt of Charles City, IA. One son,
one brother, one sister and her husband preceeded her in death. She is also survived by a brother, Archie
searle of Winnebago, Minn., a half brother, Lee McKennon of Los Angeles, Calif.,and a half sister Mrs. Frank
(Sadie) Manson of Quincy, Mass.
Mrs. Hunt spent all of her married life in Winnebago,Minn. and had lived in Kirksville, MO the last two
years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Hanna Ella Hunt
Mrs. R.H. Hunt died at home of sun Wednesday
Lived in Greenwood Twp for 71 years.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church at Bancroft and burial was made in the Greenwood
cemetery Friday afternoon for Mrs. R. H. Hunt who passed away at the home of her son, Delbert, at Swea City,
following an illness of 10 months. Mrs. Hunt suffered from a stroke several weeks ago from which she did
not recover.
Hannah ella Hunt was born at Polo., Olen? co., Ill, March 1, 1862, and died Wednesday June 30, at
the age of 75 years.
On March 15, 1880, she was united in marriage to Roswell Hunt, to which union two sons were born. Mr.
Hunt and one son Elbert Proceded her in death a number of years ago.
Mrs. Hunt as been a resident of Greenwood township for seventy-one years having moved here with her parents
in 1866. She was a member of the Baptist church of Bancroft.
She leaves to mourn her death one son, Delbert, three grandchildren, Mrs. Hazel Berggren, Cedar Falls,
Alice Hunt, Omaha, and Clarence of Swea city, two great grandsons, Dow and Dean Berggren, a brother Benson
Searle, Bancroft, and a sister Mrs. Emma Campbell of Webb, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends.
Those acting as pall bearers were Andrew Pedersen, Wm., Barger, Walter Engstrom, A.M. Kollasch and John
Cassem of Grant and John Cowing of Bancroft.
Relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Berggren and children of Waterloo, Miss Alice Hunt of Omaha, Nebr.,
Leigh Castelman of Spirit Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Campbell Sr., Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Campbell, Henry Campbell,
and Merle Wells of Webb, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McGee of Esterville, Mrs. Cora Hunt and son Harold, Mr. and
Mrs. Florin Hunt and family, Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Odell,Bensen Searle of Bancroft, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Barslow
and Mrs. Howard Morton of Ledyard.
Laura E. Mckinnon
Laura E. Mckinnon was born at Oconomawoc wis March 2, 1862. At the age of eight years she moved to Kossuth county, Iowa, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James cornwell,where she spent her early years. She was united in marriage with O.A. Searle in the year 1878. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Hattie Hunt of Winnebago Minn, Archie Searle, also of winnebago, and Ira Searle of Mason City. Following Mr. Searle's death she was united in marriage to U.H. Mckinnon, in the year 1894, at Bancroft, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Ruth Brayton of Burt, L.E. Mckinnon of Hudson, Mrs. Sadie Maxon of Marble Rock, and Luella who died at the age of four years. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband,U.A. Mckinnon,and the children mentioned,also three brothers,A.M. Cornwell,Mankalo, Minn.,E.E. Cornwell, Sioux Falls, S.D,D.D,Cornwell,Canistota, S.D., also 22 grandchildren,besides a host of friends and neighbors who loved and respected this kind, christian woman.
She died at her home in Marble Rock on November 25, 1932, death being caused by appoplexy. She was a kind and loving mother, devoted to her home and the home circle. At an early age she became a Christian and united with the Baptist church at Bancroft.
Mrs. Mckinnon was a very meek woman, yet very affable. She stayed close to her home and her light shone best in that home. She believed a woman's best and noblest work was done in the home. She was a homebuilder, a successful mother. Because of her labors there her husband and children rise up and call her blessed. She has encouraged and exhorted her children to faith in the Resurrected Christ. She has stood by her loved ones in every conflict, calm, patient, trustful and heroic.
It may be strange yet who would change Time's course to slower speeding, when one by one our friends have gone and left our sad hearts bleeding.
Funeral services were held at the Bethel Baptist church at Marble Rock, on Sunday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. George Foster, in charge.
selections were sung by Mrs. Lucy Moore and Mrs. Leslie Faris, accompanied by Mrs. Foster. The body was laid to rest in the Hillside cemetery.
